Southern Wales and England

More photos from our walk around Tintern Abbey ruins... We also wandered down to the River Wye and the small town. We learned 3 things on our wanderings: Monks from Tintern Abbey also established a ferry here to cross the nearby River Wye so you could reach the land on the English bank; the Cistericians, white monks, built here because they sought to live 'far from the concourse of men'; and in 1568 brass was first made near here by alloying copper and zinc. Interesting!
